Well it’s been a busy few months for us. Evie is growing up so fast and is growing out of clothes at an alarming rate! I was lucky enough to tag on to the official media shoot for the RAF’s only airshow at RAF Cosford. From the Thursday to the Saturday before and the Monday after the show, I was photographing participating aircraft air-to-air from the side of a Cessna Caravan. I made some great friends during the shoot and the whole thing was such an amazing experience!
One of the highlights of the shoot was a rendezvous with two Czech Air Force L-159 Alcas and Cliff Spink’s Spitfire, flying in formation to commemorate Cosford’s involvement during World War Two as a depot for thousands of Czech airmen who passed through before joining the RAF. I think the planning lasted longer than the actual flight however it was such a spectacle to be flying next to two jets and of course a Spitfire! The image made it in to two magazines – click on a pic to see the full page!
Of course, the air show season is in full swing now and I along with the UKAR team visited a soggy RAF Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo, the review of which will be out soon!
An agility show, two weddings and a short break is on the horizon for the holidays and then back to work with a bang in September!
